📙New book: The Trend of Snuff Bottles from the Qing Court
📗鼻煙（snuff）源自西方，早期翻譯成「士拿乎」，在康熙皇帝時業已傳入，將發酵煙葉細末調香而成，服用時將粉末直接吸入鼻中，有通嚏輕揚之效。將鼻煙翻譯為「士拿乎」或可反映當時鼻煙稀少而珍貴，僅於宮廷與王公貴族、士大夫以上階層流通。
📗不同於西洋用盒盛裝這種輕細的粉末，清代宮廷將其改成小口、廣腹帶匙蓋的鼻煙壺，成為清代內廷工藝的縮影，從早期的各色玻璃到套玻璃，還有各種礦石牙角的雕刻，再到金屬胎琺瑯以及極難燒製的玻璃胎琺瑯，或是瓷器、甚至葫蘆工藝，到後來為裝鼻煙而發明的內繪玻璃，幾乎囊括當時各種製作工藝於方寸間的小瓶。
📗國立故宮博物院收藏大量清宮製作最精美的鼻煙壺，從珍藏、賞玩到實用的各種面向，選展各種材質之鼻煙壺，從雕刻、燒製、琢磨等工藝角度理解其製作及所呈現之時代特色，是清代工藝之縮影，同時也是清宮微型藝術之精典，從技法的創新，到各類材質所展現的技藝，以及使用及欣賞的各種意境，體會清宮鼻煙壺的新藝境。
